Give In May – Fundraising

This May please consider donating to CAFAMH on the Give In May platform for AANHPI Heritage Month. Being a caregiver to someone with a mental illness diagnosis can be challenging, especially if you are an immigrant with limited English proficiency and are unfamiliar with the mental health system.

For over a decade, CAFAMH has been offering Chinese-language caregiver support groups. This is a culturally affirming space where Chinese immigrant caregivers learn about community resources, receive peer support, and gain skills and knowledge that help them and their families thrive. To date, we have supported over 5,000 family participants, and continue to serve 200–400 participants annually. With your support, we can continue to empower families and help them find hope.

Hear from CAFAMH caregivers!

“Joining CAFAMH has been very meaningful for me. During my most difficult and helpless times, volunteers and others extended a helping hand and provided valuable support, which made me feel more at ease with my situation. I have also learned a lot from them, for which I am extremely grateful.”

“Several years ago, when I was unfamiliar with New York and had no social support, I was fortunate to connect with CAFAMH. I received selfless help from the volunteers and caregivers, which not only alleviated my mental stress but also taught me many skills for interacting with my ill family member and the community support and resources that are available for people with mental illness.”

Every Dollar Counts!

Every week, Give In May awards prize money to organizations with the largest number of unique donors ($500 for 1st place, $250 for 2nd place, $100 for 3rd place). Please support us in whatever amount you are comfortable with!

All CAFAMH donors are entered into a raffle for a free facial at Silver Mirror!
