Simple Mindfulness Techniques for Healthcare Workers Facing COVID19

I am dedicating this video to healthcare workers and front-line workers. This is recorded for a group of healthcare workers in Kenya working in COVID19 pandemic team. It offers 30-minutes meditation and yoga techniques when you don’t have the time and space. Please share this if you find it helpful.

As we face many challenges and stress, some techniques can help relief stress and bring calmness in the midst of chaos.

Mindfulness and meditation techniques are to focus our mind on the present moment, so that when we are not thinking, our mind can rest.

Taking 5 minutes or 10 minutes at a time, to let our mind rest is important to bring ourselves to a more peaceful state. When our mind is calm and clear, it can think better and be more efficient for our next task.

Even if we don’t have time to meditate, we can focus on doing only one thing at a time. It could be washing the dishes, walking, listening to music, etc. Focusing on one thing, is being mindful can have the same calming effect.
